White Sausage with Creamy Mushrooms

A rustic pan of white sausage, mushrooms and cream turns an old butcher’s product into a cosy café-style supper. Mild, savoury and very easy to love.

Serves: 4 people

Preparation time: 25 min

Ingredients

  • White sausage – 600 g
  • Mushrooms – 400 g
  • Onion – 1
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Cream – 150 ml
  • Thyme – 1 tsp
  • Parsley – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – to taste

Method

Brown the sausages gently and set aside. Cook onion and mushrooms in butter until deeply coloured, then add thyme and cream. Return the sausages to the pan and simmer briefly until coated and hot. Finish with parsley.
