Simple tofu glazed with sweet soy, garlic and pepper is a modest but very useful side dish on a broad rice table.
Serves: 4 people
Preparation time: 30 min
Ingredients
- Firm tofu – 400 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Sweet soy sauce – 3 tbsp
- Pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Spring onion – 2
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
Cut the tofu into cubes and fry or bake until lightly golden.
Fry the garlic briefly in a little oil and add the sweet soy sauce and pepper.
Return the tofu to the pan and turn it through the sauce.
Finish with sliced spring onion and serve warm or at room temperature.
