S’mores Fondue

All the campfire fun of s'mores, but in an easy shared dessert with melted chocolate, soft marshmallows and crunchy biscuits.

Serves: 6 people

Preparation time: 5 min

Ingredients

  • Milk chocolate – 250 g
  • Dark chocolate – 150 g
  • Double cream – 220 ml
  • Mini marshmallows – 150 g
  • Graham crackers or digestive biscuits – 200 g
  • Strawberries – 250 g
  • Banana slices – 2 bananas
  • Brownie cubes – 250 g

Method

Prepare all fruit, cake, cookies or marshmallows before you start the fondue so everything is ready to dip as soon as the sauce is smooth.
Place the main ingredients in a heatproof bowl over barely simmering water, or melt them very gently in a heavy saucepan. Melt the chocolates with the cream until smooth, then scatter the marshmallows over the top and let them soften into the surface.
Stir until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy. If it looks too thick, add a small splash of cream or milk; if it is too thin, let it reduce for a minute.
If you want toasted tops, briefly place the pan under a hot grill before serving. Pour the s’mores fondue into a fondue pot or warm serving bowl and keep it just warm enough to stay fluid without scorching.
Serve straight away with the prepared dippers and stir from time to time so the s’mores fondue stays silky.
