Ingredients
- all-purpose flour – 1 1/2 cups
- baking powder – 2 tsp
- salt – 1/2 tsp
- eggs – 2
- milk – 1 cup
- butternut purée – 3/4 cup
- melted butter – 1/4 cup
- grated cheese – 1 cup
- chives – 2 tbsp, chopped
Method
STEP 1
Heat the waffle iron.
STEP 2
Whisk the eggs, milk, butternut purée and melted butter together.
STEP 3
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a second bowl. Stir into the wet ingredients, then fold in the cheese and chives.
STEP 4
Bake portions of batter in the waffle iron until golden and crisp. Serve warm.
