This satay Sauce with Ginger and Lime quickly adds depth to a dish. Use it with satay, rice, noodles, grilled vegetables or chicken, or serve it as a dip or table sauce when a meal needs something creamy and savoury.
What makes a good satay sauce?
A good satay sauce is more than peanut butter thinned with water. Sweet soy, acidity, spices and sometimes coconut or chilli give it depth. Gentle heating keeps the sauce smooth and lets the peanut absorb the other flavours.

Ingredients
- pindakaas – 150 g
- warm water – 180 ml
- ketjap manis – 2 el
- gember – 1 el, geraspt
- limoensap – 1,5 el
- knoflook – 1 teen, geraspt
- bruine suiker – 1 el
Method
STAP 1
Roer alle ingrediënten tot een gladde saus.
STAP 2
Verwarm kort in een steelpan en serveer warm.
