Reindeer open sandwich with horseradish

Tender sliced reindeer, rye bread and a little horseradish make a striking northern sandwich with plenty of bite.

Serves: 2 people

Preparation time: 12 min

Ingredients

  • Cooked or smoked reindeer slices – 200 g
  • Rye bread – 4 slices
  • Butter – 40 g
  • Horseradish cream – 4 tbsp
  • Pickled cucumber – 1 small
  • Dill – 1 handful
  • Black pepper – to taste

Method

Butter the rye bread and spread each slice with horseradish cream.
Lay the reindeer slices over the bread.
Slice the pickled cucumber thinly and scatter it over the meat.
Finish with dill and black pepper.
Serve the sandwiches immediately while the bread is still fresh.
