Slow-cooked pork, sweet apple and a splash of cider turn into a pie that lands somewhere between British pub food and autumn comfort cooking.

Ingredients
- Pulled pork – 700 g
- Apple – 2
- Onion – 1
- Dry cider – 150 ml
- Sage – 1 tsp
- Pastry – 500 g
- Egg – 1
Method
Cook the onion and apple until softened, add cider and reduce slightly, then fold in pulled pork and sage. Spoon into a pie dish, cover with pastry and bake until browned and fragrant.
