Diner-style steak salad with sliced beef, sautéed onions and peppers, provolone and a creamy pepper dressing.

Serves: 2 people

Preparation time: 20 min

Ingredients

  • Romaine lettuce – 2 hearts
  • Sirloin steak – 300 g
  • Green bell pepper – 1
  • Onion – 1
  • Provolone cheese – 6 slices
  • Cherry tomatoes – 150 g
  • Croutons – 50 g
  • Peppercorn dressing – 120 ml
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt and black pepper – to taste

Method

STEP 1
Season the steak with salt and pepper. Slice the onion and bell pepper.
STEP 2
Sear the steak and sauté the onion and pepper in the same pan until tender. Let the steak rest, then slice thinly.
STEP 3
Arrange the lettuce on plates and top with tomatoes, warm steak, peppers and onion.
STEP 4
Add the provolone and croutons and serve with the peppercorn dressing.
