Golden rice with coconut and turmeric brings festive color and gentle fragrance to a classic Indonesian rice table.

Ingredients
- Long-grain rice – 300 g
- Coconut milk – 200 ml
- Water – 250 ml
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Lemongrass – 1 stalk
- Bay leaf – 2
- Salt – 1 tsp
Method
Rinse the rice and let it drain.
Combine the rice with coconut milk, water, turmeric, bruised lemongrass, bay leaves and salt in a pan.
Bring to a boil, lower the heat and cook covered for 12 to 15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
Let the rice rest for 10 minutes with the lid on, then remove the aromatics and fluff before serving.
