A smooth mustard cream sauce for meat, vegetables or fish.
Serves: 4 people
Preparation time: 25 min
Ingredients
- butter – 2 tbsp
- flour – 2 tbsp
- stock – 1 cup
- cream – 1/2 cup
- mustard – 2 tbsp
- lemon juice – 1 tsp
- salt – to taste
- white pepper – to taste
Method
1. Melt the butter and stir in the flour.
2. Add the stock gradually while whisking.
3. Stir in the cream and simmer until lightly thickened.
4. Add the mustard and lemon juice off the heat.
5. Season with salt and white pepper.
6. Serve warm.
