Mini Falafel with Tahini

Mini falafel balls with creamy tahini are warmly spiced, satisfying and easy to serve as finger food.

Serves: 6 people

Preparation time: 20 min

Ingredients

  • Cooked chickpeas – 250 g
  • Onion – 1/2
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Parsley – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – for frying
  • Tahini – 2 tbsp
  • Water – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

Method

STEP 1
Blend the chickpeas with onion, garlic, parsley, cumin and flour into a coarse mixture.
STEP 2
Shape the mixture into small balls.
STEP 3
Fry the falafel until deep golden and hot through, then drain.
STEP 4
Mix tahini with water and lemon juice into a spoonable sauce.
STEP 5
Serve the warm mini falafel with tahini on the side or drizzled over the top.
