These tiny toasted ham and cheese bites bring all the comfort of a croque monsieur in a neat party-friendly size.

Ingredients
- Soft sandwich bread – 6 slices
- Ham – 3 slices
- Gruyère – 80 g
- Butter – 20 g
- Dijon mustard – 1 tsp
Method
STEP 1
Flatten the bread lightly with a rolling pin and spread one side with a little mustard.
STEP 2
Layer ham and Gruyère between slices of bread.
STEP 3
Butter the outsides lightly.
STEP 4
Toast the sandwiches in a pan or sandwich press until golden and the cheese has melted.
STEP 5
Cut into small neat squares and serve warm.
