Smooth mashed potatoes finished with butter and warm milk.
Serves: 4 people

Ingredients
- floury potatoes – 2 lb
- butter – 4 tbsp
- milk – 1/2 cup, warm
- salt – to taste
- white pepper – to taste
- nutmeg – 1 pinch
Method
1. Peel and boil the potatoes until very tender.
2. Drain well and let the steam escape for 1 minute.
3. Mash or press the potatoes until smooth.
4. Beat in the butter and warm milk.
5. Season with salt, white pepper and nutmeg.
6. Serve immediately.
