This Nordic holiday classic is famous for its slippery texture, but with buttery peas and crisp bacon it becomes a cosy winter plate.

Ingredients
- Prepared lutefisk – 1 kg
- Bacon – 150 g
- Frozen peas – 300 g
- Butter – 40 g
- Boiled potatoes – 700 g
- Black pepper – to taste
- Parsley – 1 tbsp
- Salt – if needed
Method
Cook or bake the lutefisk according to the package until just opaque and delicate. Fry the bacon until crisp and reserve the fat. Warm the peas in butter with a spoonful of bacon fat, season with pepper and serve beside the fish with potatoes. Sprinkle over the bacon and parsley.
