Javanese Pork Chops is a familiar Dutch-Indies rice dish with homely flavours. Pork chops in a sweet savoury soy glaze, simple, nostalgic and perfect with rice and cucumber. It works well for an everyday meal, but also as part of a larger rice-table style spread.
Why is Javanese Pork Chops so popular?
The strength of Javanese Pork Chops is the combination of familiar ingredients and warm Dutch-Indies flavours. It does not need to be complicated to taste rich and satisfying. Pay attention to the balance between salty, sweet, aromatic and fresh, and add something crisp or tangy on the side when the sauce or base is fuller.
