Jambon d’Ardenne platter

A simple serving idea with slices of Ardennes ham, pickles, bread and mustard.

Serves: 4 people

Preparation time: 25 min

Ingredients

  • Jambon d’Ardenne – 12 oz, thinly sliced
  • country bread – 8 slices
  • whole-grain mustard – 4 tbsp
  • pickles or cornichons – 8
  • butter – 2 tbsp
  • watercress – 1 handful
  • black pepper – to taste

Method

1. Toast the bread lightly if you like, or leave it fresh.
2. Spread the slices with a little butter or serve the butter on the side.
3. Arrange the ham on a platter in loose folds.
4. Add the pickles, mustard and watercress.
5. Finish with a little black pepper over the ham.
6. Serve as a cold lunch, starter or charcuterie plate.
