Young jackfruit gives this vegan Sloppy Joe a pulled texture that works beautifully with a tangy sauce.

Ingredients
- young jackfruit, drained – 2 cans
- onion, chopped – 1 medium
- garlic, minced – 2 cloves
- tomato sauce – 1 cup
- barbecue sauce – 1/2 cup
- apple cider vinegar – 1 tbsp
- olive oil – 1 tbsp
- smoked paprika – 1 tsp
- salt – 3/4 tsp
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- hamburger buns – 4
Method
1. Pull the jackfruit apart with two forks so it resembles shredded meat.
2. Cook the onion and garlic in oil until soft.
3. Add the jackfruit, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, vinegar and paprika.
4. Simmer until the mixture is rich and the jackfruit is tender.
5. Spoon onto buns and serve immediately.
