Savoury shredded ham, sweet leeks and mustard cream under flaky pastry: a pie with just enough old-fashioned charm to feel instantly welcoming.

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • Cooked ham hock or ham – 600 g
  • Leeks – 2
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Cream – 100 ml
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Pastry – 500 g
  • Egg – 1

Method

Cook the leeks in butter until soft. Stir in flour, add milk, cream and mustard, then fold in the shredded ham. Fill a dish, cover with pastry and bake until the top is deeply golden.
