Belgian-style tartines with warm goat cheese, honey and walnuts.
Serves: 2 people
Preparation time: 15 min
Ingredients
- country bread – 4 slices
- goat cheese – 150 g
- honey – 2 tsp
- walnuts – 30 g
- mixed salad – handful
Method
STEP 1
Toast or grill the bread lightly so it can hold the topping without going limp.
STEP 2
Cut the goat cheese into slices and lay it on the bread. Add the walnuts and drizzle lightly with honey. Use the honey with restraint, because the cheese is the main flavour and the honey should only lift it.
STEP 3
Grill or bake briefly until the cheese softens and starts to warm through, then serve the tartines with the mixed salad alongside.
