A comforting cauliflower bake in a creamy cheese sauce thickened with cornstarch.
Serves: 4 people
Preparation time: 40 min
Ingredients
- Cauliflower – 1 large
- Butter – 25 g
- Milk – 500 ml
- Cornstarch – 2 tbsp
- Cheddar cheese – 180 g
- Dijon mustard – 1 tsp
- Parmesan – 30 g
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
Method
STEP 1 Steam or boil the cauliflower until just tender.
STEP 2 Make a sauce with butter, milk and cornstarch, then stir in cheddar and mustard.
STEP 3 Place the cauliflower in a baking dish and pour over the sauce.
STEP 4 Top with Parmesan and bake until golden.
