A fruit fondue keeps a children’s party playful because everyone can dip and build their own favourite combinations. It feels like a treat, yet the fresh fruit keeps the table from tipping too heavily toward only fried or baked snacks.
Serves: 6 people
Preparation time: 30 min
Ingredients
- Strawberries – 250 g
- Pineapple – 250 g, in chunks
- Melon – 250 g, in cubes
- Bananas – 2
- Milk chocolate – 200 g
- Plain yogurt – 200 g
- Wooden skewers – as needed
Method
step 1
Cut the fruit into party-friendly pieces and arrange it on skewers or in bowls. A mix of colours and shapes keeps the fondue table inviting.
step 2
Melt the chocolate gently until smooth and pour it into a heatproof serving bowl. Keep the bowl warm, but not so hot that children cannot dip safely.
step 3
Set the yogurt alongside the chocolate as a lighter option. This gives guests a choice and keeps the dessert table more varied.
step 4
Let everyone dip their fruit just before eating so the pieces stay neat instead of going soggy.
