A Belgian bakery favorite with ham, cheese, salad, tomato, cucumber, egg and mayonnaise in a fresh roll.
Serves: 2 people

Ingredients
- crusty rolls – 2
- ham, sliced – 4 oz
- young Gouda or Belgian cheese, sliced – 4 oz
- lettuce – 1 cup
- tomato, sliced – 1 medium
- cucumber, sliced – 1/2
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced – 2
- mayonnaise – 4 tbsp
- salt – to taste
- black pepper – to taste
Method
1. Open the rolls and spread them with mayonnaise.
2. Fill them with lettuce, ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber and egg.
3. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
4. Serve fresh, before the roll softens.
