Small savoury pastries with a gently spiced minced meat filling, old-fashioned, festive and perfect for a drinks table or rijsttafel.
Serves: 4 people

Ingredients
- Puff pastry – 8 squares
- Minced beef – 300 g
- Onion – 1
- Garlic clove – 1
- Sweet soy sauce – 1 tbsp
- Curry powder – 1 tsp
- Egg – 1
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt and pepper – to taste
Method
STEP 1
Fry onion and garlic in oil until soft.
STEP 2
Add the minced meat and cook until browned.
STEP 3
Season with sweet soy, curry powder, salt and pepper and let the filling cool.
STEP 4
Fill the pastry squares, fold or top them and brush with egg.
STEP 5
Bake until golden and cooked through.
