Tender skewers of marinated chicken with a creamy peanut sauce, a Dutch-Indonesian favourite for any table.
Serves: 4 people

Ingredients
- Chicken breast or thigh – 700 g
- Garlic cloves – 3
- Sweet soy sauce – 3 tbsp
- Ground coriander – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Peanut butter – 5 tbsp
- Coconut milk – 200 ml
- Sambal oelek – 1 tsp
- Lime juice – 1 tbsp
- Skewers – 10 to 12
Method
STEP 1
Cut the chicken into strips or cubes and marinate with garlic, sweet soy and coriander.
STEP 2
Thread onto skewers.
STEP 3
Warm peanut butter with coconut milk, sambal and lime into a smooth sauce.
STEP 4
Grill or pan-fry the skewers until cooked through.
STEP 5
Serve with the warm peanut sauce.
