Chia pudding is exactly the kind of jar recipe people love for meal prep: simple, creamy and endlessly adaptable. A quick shake in the jar and an overnight chill turn pantry basics into a light breakfast or snack with plenty of texture.

Serves: 1 person

Preparation time: 720 min

Ingredients

  • Chia seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Almond milk – 120 ml
  • Maple syrup – 1 tsp
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 pinch
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Fresh berries – 60 g
  • Granola or chopped nuts – 2 tbsp

Method

STEP 1
Combine the chia seeds, almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a lidded jar.
STEP 2
Shake vigorously, then let the jar stand for a short while before stirring once more to break up any clumps.
STEP 3
Refrigerate for several hours or overnight until the pudding is thick and creamy.
STEP 4
Finish with berries and granola or nuts just before serving.
